Dungloe
village is situated on the West Coast of Donegal, which shares
in some of the most stunning and unspoilt scenery in Ireland. Its
rugged cliffs lean into the clear waters of the Atlantic Ocean and
then onto one of the hundreds of white sand beaches, which surround
this coastline.
Moving inland, the majestic Mount Errigal or deceiving Muckish
mountain among many can be found thus making this side of Donegal
an explorers paradise, whether that be on foot, horseback or indeed
by boat..
The
waters hugging this coastline are renowned for their variety of
fish. You will find plenty offers of a trip offshore, in order that
you may go after your own 'catch of the day'. For those of you who
prefer dry land, there are over 130 lakes alone within The
Rosses together with a selection of challenging rivers.
I
have listed below but a few of the many local interests which we
can direct you to should you so wish :-

Music & Dining
Throughout the year, Dungloe Town offers entertainment to suit all
tastes and palates where music and food are concerned. However,
during the months of June, July, August and September, the local
towns and villages host their individual festivals. The most famous
of these is the International Mary From Dungloe Festival,
which is held here in July. The festivals aim to include the whole
family so there is always something happening on a daily basis.
So
this is 'Sweet Dungloe' in the heart of the beautiful Rosses where
there is as much or as little for you to do as you wish amidst the
natural unspoilt beauty of Donegal.
If
you plan to visit Donegal, then Ardrihidbeg
Cottage would be delighted to fulfil your self-catering
accommodation needs.
